Our preparation course for the social studies exam (Kennis Nederlandse Maatschappij) is intended for students who are planning on taking the obligatory social studies exam in Dutch.
About the course
The course is based on a combination of class exercises and homework. During the course, participants will go through ten topics that are included in the social studies exam. The course aims to help you acquire a better understanding of the Dutch society, its political system and social norms. Classwork will include group discussions, working with texts, exchange of experiences and opinions. Homework is mostly based on working with texts and vocabulary.
It is recommended that all participants have taken the following courses: Standard or intensive A1-1, A1-2, A2-1 and A2-2 or equivalent courses in other schools. This is due to an A2 level required for taking the social study exam.
The social study exam is organized by Dutch authorities. For dates and registration for the exam, click here: https://www.inburgeren.nl/examen-doen/aanmelden.jsp
